Message	TP's probably would't add that much more horsepower than gutted main cats would, since the pipe is pretty straight in that section of the system. DP's on the other hand have some bends in it from coming down from the turbo's and connecting to the pipes, so I think (in fact I know) that DP's will add more power than gutted precats. For the price that test pipes go for, I would just gut the main cats and buy aftermarket DP's. Only down side to gutting cats is your screwed when it comes time to smog unless you have some spare cats lying around.
